What to expect..
Our first session will start with a detailed consultation and our work will then be based around what we have discussed and agreed. This means that the first session will involve less table time than subsequent sessions. We will always go through a check in at the beginning of all sessions. The treatment itself is then based on what we have agreed and feedback provided during. For example, some often worry about massage being too light or too deep, in other words not what they want. With feedback we work together to find a comfortable depth for what you and your body needs. The end of the session will conclude with a brief, informal reflection including appropriate aftercare advice. At this point we can also discuss the option of an ongoing treatment plan. A treatment plan can focus on some longer term goals, such as, supporting a process of rehabilitation, working with an exercise regime or exploring how massage can become part of your life. Whilst a one off appointment will be good to receive you can get much more out of massage by having regular sessions. I see our first appointment as a starting point of our potential ongoing work together. However, finding a massage therapist that you want to work with is based on the interaction, commitment and mutual trust of both practitioner and client. If you feel this is not for you then you are under no obligation to re-book. So, when is your next massage? | What people say...... "Kirsty tailors the massage she provides to your needs as an individual and what you need from your massage. This tailoring is not a one off, it continues every time you visit. I have had many massages over the years and I feel that Kirstys' is the most therapeutic and beneficial to me". Sara |
